Destination Wedding Planner in Almería: The Wedding Collection 2025

In this post, we take a brief look at the standout weddings we organized in Almería in 2025 and show you why Almería is the perfect setting for a destination wedding.

Why Almería for a destination wedding

Almería is light, sea, desert, and cortijos, all within less than an hour’s drive. In a single weekend you can marry in front of the famous Playa de los Genoveses, dine surrounded by olive trees in a restored barn, and dance beneath a canopy of lights with the sea of Vera as your backdrop.

As destination wedding planners, our job is to turn that beauty into a seamless experience: permits, timelines, access, vendors, a solid Plan B, golden-hour lighting, and a flow that lets you enjoy the day without checking the time. In Almería, everything is planned around the light. We time ceremonies for the ‘golden hour,’ map routes so the photo shoot doesn’t steal your cocktail, and design spaces that belong to the landscape: honest materials (limewash, wood, linen, esparto), a restrained color palette, and that quiet luxury that defines us, always with trusted local vendors who know the terrain and the real rhythms of each venue.

Limited collection

Each season we open The Wedding Collection with a maximum of 12 weddings. Yes—only twelve, like Spain’s twelve New Year’s Eve grapes that mark the end and the beginning of every year. Why twelve? Because we care about each client’s experience and we want to offer close, personalized, impeccable service.

How far in advance should you start planning a wedding? For destination weddings in Almería, we recommend starting 12 to 15 months ahead. That way we can secure the most sought-after suppliers and build your day with calm and intention.

Our destination-wedding planning process unfolds in five essential stages:

  • Discovery Call: A first call with each couple to understand your ideas, aesthetic, priorities, concerns and boundaries. Getting to know each other—feeling that we’re the right team for you—is key.

  • Prospecting Day: If you still need to choose your venue (some couples decide years in advance), we organize a tailored day of visits to villas, estates, cortijos and unique spaces that match your criteria.

  • Let’s Light It All Up: Once the time (date) and place (venue) are set, we bring your day to life with the right team through regular meetings: floral design, live music, catering or private chef, lighting, details… In this phase we negotiate, lock contracts, handle deposits and move things forward—calmly, but without pause.

  • Timeline Design: We craft a time-and-space run-of-show covering every detail: vendor arrivals, setup windows, getting-ready times, and the minute-by-minute of ceremony, reception and party. This lets us spot loose ends and reinforce any moments that need extra planning.

  • Day-of Coordination: On your wedding day you can feel completely at ease knowing we’re right there with you. We coordinate vendors and guests, answer questions, and take on every task a professional organizer should handle. You are the hosts—free to enjoy your people and your day. We take care of the rest.

The Wedding Collection 2025

Ana and Nacho at Fábrica de los Genoveses

Aire Flamenco” at a Traditional Threshing Floor in Cabo de Gata

The ceremony took place on a traditional threshing floor facing Playa de los Genoveses, with the sea as a backdrop and that unmistakable Cabo de Gata vibe they were after, complemented by floral design from Gracia y La Penca that blended seamlessly with the setting. Back at the estate, the flavors from Catering Delicias and that Aire Flamenco that filled the space left no one indifferent, beautifully captured by Jose Daniel.

In their words:

“An essential piece to make everything perfect at Genoveses. They listened, understood our priorities, and gave us the confidence to relax, knowing everything was under control.” Ana y Nacho

Bea and Iván at La Isleta del Moro, La Loma

with the market garden as our floral inspiration

This wedding was a chromatic manifesto: Floristería El Patio brought the colours of Almería’s market garden—tomato, red pepper and aubergine—beautifully harmonised with gerberas and anthuriums, in organic centrepieces that smelled like summer. In early September, with 160 guests, the beautiful Cortijo La Loma (Grupo Olivencia) offered sweeping views over Isleta del Moro, a bespoke embroidered table plan by Hey Waikiki, and a photographer, Javier Lozano, who captured the celebration’s most luminous moments.

In their words

“Nerea was our wedding planner. Perfectionist, responsible, and decisive. Maximum flexibility and warmth; she was more involved than we were. An unbeatable job in Almería. Thank you.”

Ginés and Ana at our Villa Piano

with a ceremony in front of the sea

We transformed Villa Piano into a wedding estate, where the couple got ready before heading to one of Villaricos’s most beautiful spots for a seaside ceremony. Our role was special. We served as masters of ceremonies alongside the town’s mayor.

Back at the estate, a canopy of lights, live music, and a cocktail hour and dinner by Aniceto Eventos unfolded among majestic palm trees. A celebration full of charm, beautifully captured by Jose Daniel.

Chloe and Nicolás at Casa Santa Ana:

restored barn, olive trees and long wooden tables

An unusual, deeply personal wedding at Casa Santa Ana. The restored barn became the heart of a dinner set at long tables with wooden benches, warm minimalism with matte tableware, washed linen, and pools of low light that created the intimacy they were after. Here, the space leads and the design follows—never competing.

Unique Villas and Venues in Cabo de Gata and Beyond

We work with our own villas, like Villa Piano and Casa Santa Ana, and with locations we know inside out: Fábrica de los Genoveses, Isleta del Moro, Villaricos, the Iglesia de Las Salinas, Cortijo El Paraíso, Rodalquilar, Níjar… This hands-on knowledge (real access routes, parking, natural shade, restrictions, wind orientation) translates into efficient setups and comfortable experiences for you and your guests, even when you’re travelling from outside Spain.

Practical Guide for International Couples:

Dates, Permits & Logistics

  • Best time of year: April–June and September–October for ideal light and temperatures. In summer, we favour evening schedules and generous shade at the welcome.

  • Wind (Levante/Poniente): we design the ceremony orientation and key areas accordingly, use directional microphones and discreet panels, and always have a realistic Plan B (tented options, sheltered layouts).

  • Ceremonies & paperwork: guidance for civil or symbolic ceremonies, sworn translations, and a bilingual officiant.

  • Accommodation & transport: rooming lists by area, shuttle routes, and welcome packs with local products.

What’s Included with a Wedding Planner in Almería

We work on a bespoke basis, so the budget depends on guest count, venues, technical needs, and design. Typically, our service includes creative direction, production, and day-of coordination. Beyond the numbers, our value lies in optimising resources: avoiding over-hiring, reusing thoughtfully (e.g., repurposing ceremony florals for the reception), and prioritising local suppliers to elevate quality and keep timelines on track. It’s all about transparency, sound decisions, and a team that protects your time.

If this approach resonates, let’s schedule a guided visit—virtual or in person—through our secret locations in Almería. We’re opening our 2026/27 calendar and keep The Wedding Collection to a maximum of 12 weddings per year so we can care for every detail.
